Moran is a highly experienced lawyer whose varied practice encompasses handling, among others, complex and cross-border technology-related matters and conflicts, particularly in the fields of IP, product liability and torts, product recall, insurance coverage, professional negligence, contracts, regulation of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, food, cosmetics and other products, clinical trials and gambling law.

Intellectual Property

In the field of IP, Moran advises on a wide spectrum of matters, both contentious and non-contentious, including the creation, ownership, use, freedom to operate, registration, commercial exploitation, counterfeiting and brand management, protection and enforcement of trademarks, copyright, patents, designs and trade secrets.

Product Liability, Torts and Insurance

Moran is also an expert on product liability, torts and insurance law, defending, in court, complex and high profile product liability claims (including class actions), advising leading international insurance companies on risk management and defending claims on behalf of their respective insureds, as well as disputed coverage claims.

Product liability cases in which Moran has been involved have covered all kinds of damages, bodily to property, and a large number of causes of damages, such as fire or failure in design, planning, assembly or installation, participation in clinical trials and more. She advises and represents leading international manufacturers and distributors across a considerable range of industries, including pharmaceutical, medical devices, food, cosmetics, aviation and transportation, industrial products, consumer products and other high and low tech applications.

Moran also advises manufacturers across a considerable range of industries throughout the stringent regulatory product recall processes and represents them before the relevant local authorities, where required.

Moran is highly experienced in collaborating with and guiding professional experts, including on complicated technical, technological and scientific fields.

Moran has also been involved in the drafting of various contracts, the subject matter of which concern, inter alia, product liability-related contractual issues.

Moran’s expertise in product liability has been recognized by The Legal 500, where she was ranked “particularly recommended”.

Regulatory

On the regulatory side of her practice, Moran advises and represents companies in the pharmaceutical, medical device, food and cosmetics sectors on the full range of regulatory aspects spanning from the mandatory requirements applicable to clinical trials to the registration of their products with the Israeli Ministry of Health, licensing, labelling, marketing and advertising. Moran has also been advising companies from the life science industry on relations with health care practitioners and donations and with respect to Ministry of Health audits.

Moran was involved in representing clients from the life science industry in numerous legislative processes and drafting and advising with respect to internal policies and compliance programs.

Commercial Law

Moran also has significant expertise in representing domestic and international entities in commercial litigation and dispute resolution, including in contractual disputes with respect to ownership over IP and licensing of IP rights, and enforcement and termination of distribution, agency and representation agreements.

Moran’s practice also includes advising clients on all aspects of gambling and gaming law, privacy protection and e-commerce.

  • Representing a leading global production powerhouse in a conflict regarding the protection of one of the most famous reality competition television franchises (format).
  • Representing a developer of innovative 3D technology in a claim for misappropriation of trade secrets.
  • Representing and advising a leading global technology company that provides a cloud-based web development platform in court proceedings aimed at protecting its copyrights and trade secrets, and before the Israeli Knesset (Parliament) with respect to an amendment to the Israel Copyright Law.
  • Defending Israel’s three major mobile communications companies in a patent dispute.
  • Managing and securing the trademark and design portfolios of numerous international and local entities, including the largest franchising chains in Israel, a global online lottery service, a multinational streaming services entity, and a leading manufacturer of home care, cleaning and hygiene products.
