Overview

Gilad Gafni is a partner in the Intellectual Property Group and Commercial Litigation department of the firm.

In the IP arena, Gilad specializes in litigation, commercialization and consultancy in the fields of copyrights, patents, trademarks, and trade secrets laws, as well as other legal fields such as internet law, privacy and data-protection.

Over the years, Gilad has represented and provided ongoing consultancy, especially with respect to digital copyrights affairs, to a wide variety of entities, including large and renowned media and entertainment networks as well as Israel’s leading academic, media and financial institutions.

In addition, Gilad’s practice focuses on commercial litigation disputes before various Israeli courts and tribunals, representing large scale companies, both domestic and foreign, in a wide range of affairs.

Gilad has earned significant experience in handling highly-complexed technology disputes in particular in the following areas of law: product liability, professional liability, torts, contracts and insurance coverages.

In this framework, Gilad represents and provides ongoing consultancy to major international and foreign insurers and re-insures, as well as brokers and other insurance agencies with respect to various issues concerning Israeli Insurance law and Insurance regulation matters.

Gilad also served as a guest lecturer for Copyright law at Haifa University, the Ruppin Academic center and in the IDC Herzliya.

Gilad joined S. Horowitz & Co. in 2016, after he interned in a leading law firm and later on worked in a private office representing large scale media and communication corporations.
