The Employment Law Department at S. Horowitz & Co. advises private clients and employers on proceedings conducted before the competent governmental and regulatory authorities, including procuring applicable permits related to the employment of women (pregnancy, maternity leave, fertility treatments, etc.), reservist personnel (Employment Committee of the Ministry of Defence) and foreign workers in Israel, as well as accompanying employers and employees alike in proceedings before the authorities, regardless if initiated by them or filed against them, on issues of this nature.

The department’s team provides ongoing legal support and advice to businesses operating in an array of industries regarding their representation before the various governmental authorities, including high-tech companies, industrial companies, financial institutions, building contractors, public and private organizations, local and international, as well as private clients seeking legal assistance in this regard.   • Employment of Women and Reservist Personnel: The department’s team advises and accompanies employers and private entities in representation before the competent governmental authorities, including in proceedings pertaining to dismissal permits for these special employees. Since proceedings of this nature are complex and highly sensitive, the department’s team operates with extreme sensitivity in relation to these issues, while strictly adhering to the law, including with regard to collecting a sufficient evidentiary infrastructure and in conducting matters before the relevant regulatory authority. The department team’s work in this regard is performed with the utmost care and meticulously, in order to avoid exposure to common lawsuits on issues of this scope
  • Work Permits for Foreign Workers and Obtaining Visas: The department’s team is knowledgeable and proficient in providing legal support with respect to the procurement of permits and visas for foreign workers and offers up comprehensive solutions as to how employers and individuals should conduct themselves before the Population and Immigration Authority. In addition, we handle applications for obtaining specialist work permits for experts in their relevant fields
  • Regulatory Compliance: The department’s team regularly advises employers and employees regarding the implementation of all Israeli employment laws, as well as in crystallizing and exercising employee rights and benefits
  • Immigration Planning: We offer legal assistance and strategic advice to foreign companies seeking to establish areas of activity in Israel, as well as guidance in the drafting and formulation of employment agreements for employees employed by Israeli companies abroad. Our representation in this regard includes providing comprehensive professional services in collaboration with other departments of the firm, including the taxation department in so far as pertaining to local and international taxation
