Asher Heled

Of Counsel

Adv. Asher Heled serves as Of Counsel in the firm’s Employment practice. He is one of Israel’s most experienced practitioners in employment law and pension fund matters, with a legal career spanning over five decades.

Before joining S. Horowitz, Asher founded and led the Asher Heled & Co. law firm for roughly forty years. Following the merger with S. Horowitz & Co. in July 2021, he headed the Employment practice for a period of time before transitioning to his current role as Of Counsel.

Asher has represented clients in numerous complex and high profile employment disputes, including precedential cases before the National Labour Court and the Supreme Court, as well as arbitration and mediation proceedings. In addition to representing clients, he also serves as an arbitrator and mediator in employment related disputes.

Ranked by The Legal 500 as a “Hall of Fame” member in Employment and recognised by Chambers Global for his broad and accomplished practice, Asher advises clients across various economic sectors including telecommunications, insurance and banking sectors, in sensitive disputes, strategic employment planning and workforce restructuring.

"Asher Heled is always available and understands the scope of the business."

Alongside his legal practice, Asher holds senior roles in public and academic institutions. He is also a board member and Treasurer of the Israeli Society for Labour Law and Social Security and formerly served on Israel’s Military Reserve Service Reform Committee. In 2011, he received the “Patient Rights’ Trustee” citation for his voluntary work supporting breast cancer patients through the “One in Nine” organization.
