Avi Eldor is a partner in our firm’s commercial department, and leads the fund formation and institutional investors practice. Avi consults a wide array of clients on all aspects of commercial law, specializing in private equity, real estate, infrastructure, hedge and credit funds, and co-ventures, alternative lending transactions and venture capital and investments.

Avi’s corporate and finance practice covers an extensive array of business sectors, and Avi advises Israeli and international private equity funds as well as borrowers, lenders and institutional investors. Avi’s practice covers both debt and equity investments, including all aspects of financing, such as syndicated and non-syndicated loans, participation arrangements, mezzanine financing, acquisition and leveraged buyout financings, credit facilities asset and project finance.

Formerly a lawyer at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in New York, Avi acts for a large number of clients on cross-border transactions and investments, as well as the development of his clients’ business activities in and outside of Israel and providing ongoing support both on regulative and operational issues.

Avi joined the firm as a partner in February 2023.

Experience

Prior to joining the firm Avi headed his own law firm, where he provided a wide array of clients with legal and ongoing advice concerning his fields of expertise. In the corporate setting, Avi previously headed the legal group for the investments division of one of the biggest insurance and institutional investment firms in Israel, served as the local general counsel for Barclays Bank in Israel and as an investment banker for Barclays Bank in New York, specializing in complex multi-jurisdictional transactions.
