Partner Asher Heled, who chairs the firm’s Employment practice group, is an accomplished and well-known expert on labour law and pension funds in Israel. Throughout his extensive career, he has represented clients in multiple precedential cases before the National Labour Court and the Supreme Court, as well as in arbitration and mediation proceedings. Advocate Heled is himself a skilled and accomplished arbitrator and mediator.
Born in Israel in 1948, Asher founded the Asher Heled & Co. law firm that was merged into our firm in July 2021.
After graduating from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Faculty of Law in 1970, Asher underwent his internship at the Office of the State Attorney (Civil) for the Tel Aviv District and was subsequently admitted to the Israel Bar Association in 1975.
In addition to his legal work, Asher sits on the boards of public corporations and was a member of Israel’s Military Reserve Service Reform Committee in 2004.
Asher’s current public positions include a membership on the Board of Governors of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, as well as serving as a member of the Board and Treasurer of the Israeli Society for Labour Law and Social Security [the Israeli branch of the International Society for Labour Law and Social Security]. Up until the beginning of 2019, Asher served as Chairperson of the Executive Committee of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.
Asher is a frequent speaker at professional conferences and lectures at professional seminars hosted by the Israel Bar Association; the Manufacturers’ Association of Israel; and more.
In November 2011, Asher was recognized with and awarded the “Patient Rights’ Trustee” citation on behalf of Asher Heled & Co. law firm, in appreciation of the firm’s voluntary efforts, contribution and assistance to breast cancer patients and, particularly, to the “One in Nine” non-profit organization.
