Adv. Nicolas Gips is a partner in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department at S. Horowitz.
Nicolas represents international and domestic companies, government corporations, financial institutions and high net worth private clients in civil and contract law matters. Nicolas specializes in filing petitions to the High Court of Justice and administrative courts in energy and fuel disputes, real estate disputes with emphasis on urban renewal, tender-related petitions, complex commercial disputes involving substantial financial amounts, and defamation claims. In the energy sector, Nicolas represents the Israel Electric Corporation, the national electricity supply monopoly, in a wide range of commercial matters. His practice includes representing clients in hearings before authorities and in administrative courts and the High Court of Justice in principled petitions. He has represented the State Comptroller, local authorities, the Israel Electric Corporation and other entities in petitions relating to tenders involving significant financial stakes. Throughout his career, Nicolas has developed substantial expertise in administrative law and defamation law.
Nicolas’s areas of specialization include advising financial institutions, public and private companies, high net worth private clients, local authorities, charitable organizations and NPOs on disputed tax assessments, betterment levies and Israel Land Authority charges in connection with real estate portfolio development.
In addition, Nicolas serves (together with Adv. Moran Katz) as head of the pro-bono and social involvement area at the firm.
