The legal community in Israel is heartbroken to learn about the death of Shani Gabay. Last week, we shared the news that Shani had been missing since October 7th, with her last known location being the Nova party. Today, we were devastated to learn that Shani was murdered by Hamas, and her body has been found and identified.

Shani, a 26-year-old legal intern, will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and colleagues. May her memory be a blessing.

Following our earlier post about Adv. Amit Soussana, an Israeli attorney who was brutally taken hostage into Gaza by the Hamas terrorist organization, we, Israel’s leading law firms, are horrified to report that Shani Gabay, a law intern, has been missing since the Hamas attacks on October 7th.

Shani was at the Nova music festival on that devastating day.

Shani, 26, an Israeli-Polish citizen, who works in the capital markets team at Gilad Behar & Co. Law Office, holds a law degree from the College of Management Academic Studies, and regularly volunteers with environmental and animal-rights organizations.

Shani is known to have been shot twice in the leg on 7th October. She was last seen being treated by medically trained staff at the festival, but she has not been heard from since then, and her whereabouts are unknown to the Israeli authorities and to her family.

In addition to the shooting, raping, beheading, burning, mutilating, and torture of Israeli and foreign nationals perpetrated by Hamas and its belligerent partners in evil, over 240 people were abducted into Gaza: civilians ranging in ages from just a few months old, to elderly citizens well into their 80’s.

As members of the international legal community, it is incumbent upon all of us to condemn this war crime, vehemently and loudly, and to call on our respective governments to act swiftly and decisively for the immediate release of all hostages.

Please join us in demanding the immediate release of all hostages held by Hamas terrorists.
