Dr. Eyal Brook specializes in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Copyright Law and Intellectual Property, and the Media & Entertainment industry.

Eyal is the Head of the Artificial Intelligence practice group. The AI practice group at S. Horowitz and Co., focuses on AI, which is at the forefront of the regulatory and legislative trends globally. This department advises clients across various sectors concerning the development, licensing, protection, and use of artificial intelligence technologies, including on legal, regulatory, and ethical issues relating to AI.

He has authored a doctoral thesis on musical authorship in the Artificial intelligence age and numerous leading articles, contributing significantly to advancing this field.

A former founder of a Media & Entertainment boutique law firm and Head of Legal Affairs and Business Development at Israel’s leading record label, ‘Helicon,’ which handled Universal’s recorded music catalogue in Israel, as well as an impressive array of Israeli talents. Eyal represented many of Israel’s leading musicians and artists, involving himself in all aspects of the media and entertainment content industry.

  • Eyal has been awarded several prestigious scholarships in Israel and the UK, including: The President Scholarship (Reichman University); Manuel Lopez-Rey Prize (University of Cambridge); Forsyth–Grant / Hurford Travelling Scholarship (Royal College of Organists, London); Lord Rootes Memorial Fund – (University of Warwick); Barbara Maude Osborne Scholarship – (RCO); Elected Warwick University Organ Scholar.
  • Editorial Board member at the Tel-Aviv University Law Reviews: “Legal Studies” (2002-2004); “Law, Society and Culture” (2001-2003), and research assistant to Prof. Shlomo Giora Shoham.
  • His articles have been accepted to publication by leading international law journals, including Cardozo Arts & Entertainment Law Journal, UCLA Entertainment Law Review, as well as Israeli law journals.
  • Eyal is a co-founder of “Scentcom”, a start-up company developing cutting-edge digital scent technologies for multimedia and other applications. Scentcom’s technology was elected by Microsoft as one of Israel’s 20 most promising start-ups (2010).
  • As a musician, Eyal released two albums and played hundreds of gigs as a member of the bands “Shfiyut Zmanit” (Israel), and “Coppernine” (UK), including such prestigious gigs as supporting supergroup the Cranberries at the National Exhibition Centre (N.E.C) UK, Ronnie Scott’s Songwriters Festival (alongside Coldplay), Birmingham Symphony Hall and many London venues. Eyal was elected as organ scholar at Warwick University.
  • Eyal is an adjunct professor, teaching various courses including Law, Music and artificial intelligence at Reichman University and the College of Management.
  • Senior research fellow at the Shamgar Center for Digital Law and Innovation, at the faculty of law, Tel Aviv University.
  • Founder and Chairman the Intellectual Property Committee at the Israeli Bar Association (TLV) (2010-2015), where he initiated and organized many conferences for lawyers, with leading academics, professional and judges.
  • An invited speaker in various local and international conferences relating to law, music, copyright and AI. International events included the “Sound of the Xity” Music Festival (China, 2020); Waves Vienna Music Festival (2019); The International Music, Arts and Business Forum (2019). Institutions in Israel included, Bar Ilan University, Haifa University, Reichman University, ALAI, The College of Management, The Israeli Export Office, BPM College of music, Rimon School of Music, Ariel University, Afeka College, HIT, Shenkar, the Israeli Bar Association.
