Hugh Kowarsky has extensive experience spanning aviation law, intellectual property, investment banking, securities law, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate law.

As one of Israel’s most experienced IP experts, he represents international and domestic clients in patent, trademark, and copyright matters, with significant experience in prosecution and opposition proceedings before the Israel Patent Office.

He negotiates technology transfer agreements and licensing contracts, particularly in life sciences and transportation, providing ongoing counsel to Israel’s research institutes and international transportation companies. Hugh advises financial institutions and investment banks on regulatory compliance, securities regulation, derivatives, credit default swaps, and complex financial instruments.

As co-head of the firm’s Aviation and Transport Practice, Hugh’s work has been recognized as “very impressive, intelligent, and professional.” He is a member of the “L2b Aviation” international network, consistently ranked by Chambers Global as the Best Global Aviation Law Network. Hugh is a recipient of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for legal services as Legal Advisor to HM Ambassador of the United Kingdom in Israel. He is a former captain of the Israeli national cricket team and a member of AIPPI – International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property.
