US estate tax – does not only apply to American citizens.
Joe Biden’s victory in the recent US presidential elections has turned the clock back for many Israelis who hold US citizenship or a Green Card.
If they fail to act soon and take advantage of the beneficial provisions of the current estate tax regime – which might change in the coming months – their heirs might be confronted with a draconian tax liability.
Israeli citizens who have assets in the US, including real estate rights and US securities held in Israel or in any other country, might also be at risk to tax exposure.
