  • Advising on the tax aspects of the sale of pharmaceutical operations in Israel by one of the world’s largest foreign pharmaceutical companies for $1.55 billion, including tax arrangements and managing tax issues with the Tax Authority regarding the transaction.
  • Advising on the tax aspects of the restructuring one of the country’s largest financial institutions, which included mergers of various subsidiaries into the parent company following arrangements with the assessing officer, appropriate rulings and reports to various offices in the Tax Authority and real estate taxation offices.
  • Advising one of Israel’s largest financial institutions on the tax aspects of various transactions with credit card groups (global Visa and Mastercard) and regarding credit card distribution.
  • Representation and advice on all taxation issues arising in connection with certain transactions concerning power stations (transaction values of NIS 4.3 billion and approximately NIS 2 billion) as part of structural reform in the electricity sector, which included many issues in the field of real estate taxation, income tax, accounting and supervisory taxation.
  • Representing a foreign trust in a highly contentious dispute with the Tax Authority following a tax assessment of approximately NIS 1 billion, held in camera.
  • Representing a giant infrastructure and desalination company in legal proceedings against the Tax Authority on fundamental issues of international taxation, with a matter value of some several hundred million NIS, in the Tel Aviv District Court.
