This week, Israel’s delegation appeared before the International Court of Justice at The Hague ahead of its response to South Africa’s claims regarding Israel’s actions in Gaza. Among the 16-lawyer defense team, which includes British Prof. Malcolm Shaw, is Dr. Omri Sender, partner and head of Public International Law at S. Horowitz, regarded as Israel’s most experienced litigator before the ICJ. Sender, whose doctorate focused on the Court, has represented states in international proceedings for over a decade and previously took part in Israel’s submissions in the UK-Mauritius advisory opinion case.
